Located at the heart of the city, the project was conceived as an inclusive urban destination—one that draws people together around food in an open, energetic setting. The design responds directly to its context, particularly the intense west-facing sun that dominates the front façade, using climate as a driver rather than a constraint.
A 2.5-metre projecting roof spans the ground-floor frontage, cutting heat and glare while creating a generous spillover zone that extends the dining experience outdoors. Above, the first floor establishes a strong architectural identity through a kinetic façade. Its shifting patterns animate the building throughout the day, turning the exterior into a dynamic, ever-evolving interface with the street.
Inside, the space is organised for clarity and flow. The kitchen is positioned on one side and the seating on the other, linked by a clear, unobstructed circulation spine that allows smooth movement for both guests and staff. The result is an interior that feels open, intuitive, and free of barriers.
From the climate-responsive façade to the fluid interior layout, every design decision aligns function with experience. The project avoids excess while remaining expressive, creating a space that is practical, engaging, and capable of becoming a natural social anchor within the city.
